Development prototype — NOT FOR USE

Privacy Information

BrEx collects and uses the minimum information necessary to provide individualized information to each user.

Information Collected

To provide individualized information, including calculator results and recommendations, and to maintain the BrEx servers, BrEx collects two types of information.

  1. Answers entered by a user when they complete forms on the website.
  2. The IP address of the computer a user uses to access the website.

Answers

Users can provide information by answering questions on the website. Users are not required answer any questions, but some parts of the website will not be available to users if they choose not to answer questions. For example, answers are required for BrEx to calculate risks and benefits.

The questions do not ask for, and users can not enter, personally-identifying information.

Answers are maintained only "in session," meaning they are not stored in a database or other permanent storage location. Answers are automatically deleted when the user's session ends. Because of this, users must re-answer questions if they return to BrEx after their prior session has ended.

Answers are not linked to IP addresses or any other information about users.

IP Address

The IP address of each computer that connects to BrEx is automatically collected by the BrEx servers and stored in server access logs.

We do not use the information in server access logs to identify users or their location. The servers do automaically scan the logs to identify connections that might be a problem — that indicate a possible attempt to hack or interrupt the application or servers.

IP addresses are not linked to answers or any other information about users.

Sharing of Information

BrEx does not share any user information with any third parties.

BrEx does not use any user information for purposes beyond providing individualized information through the calculator results and recommendations.

If required to do so by law enforcement with proper authorization, BrEx may share server logs including IP addresses.

Information Security

Connections to BrEx and BrEx servers are encrypted (data are encrypted in transit).

Data stored by BrEx are encrypted at rest.
